HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 (Hybrid)
The mainstream 2U dual-socket node for general-purpose Azure Local clusters, in a hybrid SSD-plus-HDD storage layout.
Overview
Azure Local node. The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is the dual-socket 2U workhorse of the ProLiant line, and a safe default for a general-purpose Azure Local cluster. In its hybrid configuration a small SSD cache tier fronts a larger HDD capacity tier โ good economics for mixed workloads that do not all need flash.
Where it fits
Most first Azure Local clusters land here: a few dozen VMs, file services, line-of-business apps and their databases, with room to add nodes later. When a specific workload outgrows hybrid storage, add an all-flash DL380 Gen11 node and move it across. Madatech sizes the cluster, sources it through our HPE channel, and runs the build.
